Overview of Functional Microbial Genomics: describes the functions and interactions of genes in microbial populations, where researchers focus their techniques on annotating the genome for functional activities and the estimation of gene expression that therefore leads to identifying systems or modules active biologically in the context of microbial physiology and ecology.
It will be a session on the integration of proteomics and metabolomics in microbial research. The presentation will center around different methodologies for the analysis of protein expression or metabolic profile in many microbial systems with implications in the understanding of microbial metabolism and how microbes respond to stress, and how they may and might interact with their hosts or environments.
This topic will focus on concluding our informative sessions as it explores the application of machine learning and AI in microbial research. This presentation will involve some expert speakers who would showcase an innovative set of algorithms and frameworks that should improve a combination for microbial data analysis, help identify microbial functions, and support predictive modelling of microbial behavior across different contexts.
The meetings will serve as open collaborative venues where knowledge dissemination and brainstorming of innovations about the state-of-the-art issues and trends among research practitioners engaged in microbial ecology, genomics, and bioinformatics will be pursued.
